The lab hosts the VIRTUALIA experimental platform, equipped with immersive virtual reality systems and physiological recording tools (BIOPAC, integrated eye-tracking in VR headsets), EEG (ActiChamp from Brain Products, DSI-24), and fNIRS (NIRSport2 from NIRx).

Contract Type: Fixed-term contract (12 to 24 months, renewable) – Full-time

Preferred Start Date : Between September and December 2025 (flexible)

Position Context
The LMC2 laboratory specializes in the study of human memory and cognitive functions through an ecological and multimodal approach. As part of its research in cognitive and social neuroscience, the lab is recruiting an engineer for the pre-processing, processing and analysis of EEG and fNIRS data, notably in relation to immersive virtual reality experiments.

Main Responsibilities
• – Assistance in the design of EEG and fNIRS experiments
• – Acquisition and preprocessing of EEG and fNIRS signals
• – Artifact cleaning and time-frequency-statistical processing
• – Implementation of automated and reproducible analysis pipelines
• – Contribution to multimodal analysis (combined EEG-fNIRS and/or fMRI)
• – Technical support for research teams during experiment setup and execution
• – Documentation of procedures and data management according to best scientific practices

Required Profile
• – Master’s degree, engineering diploma, or PhD in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, or related field
• – Proven expertise in EEG and/or fNIRS data acquisition and processing (tools: BrainVision Analyzer, Homer2/3, FieldTrip, EEGLAB…)
• – Programming skills (MATLAB, Python, R…)
• – Knowledge of ethical standards and GDPR for data processing
• – High autonomy in managing technical aspects of experimental protocols and data
• – Scientific rigor, autonomy and initiative

Additional Valued Skills
• – Experience with immersive virtual reality systems
• – Interest in cognitive and social research
• – Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
