Profile
I joined the Institute of Psychology working with Roger Lécuyer on the study of infants’ behaviour using eye-tracking. Since then, my work has focused on integrating behavioural and physiological approaches within research conducted in psychology, neuroscience, neuropsychology and cognitive science.
Within the Memory team at the former LPNCOG laboratory, I developed an approach aimed at bringing together controlled behavioural experimentation and physiological measurements, while making experimental settings more ecologically valid and closer to real-life situations. This approach led to the development of the Virtualia Platform, which I currently coordinate. Virtualia is designed to support research combining immersive technologies, behavioural assessment and physiological measurements. It has two main objectives:
1.To provide ecologically valid experimental settings through Virtual Reality
2.To complement behavioural measures with physiological data
Teaching & Supervision
- 2018–2026 Design and teaching of the Unity course within the DU Virtual Reality & Psychology program (20 hours)
- 2021–2025 Design and teaching of the international course unit VR Advanced (24 hours) for the BME Master’s programme
- 2020–2025 Design of an introductory course on Unity for the BME Master’s programme – Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, Université de Paris
- 2018–2020 Design of a training programme with the Institute of Neuroscience and Cognition (INC): Understanding the Brain through Virtual Reality (practical component on Unity: 15 hours)

2014 & 2015 Supervision of a Master’s student for four months: integration of a data glove into the Virtual Reality system via a VRPN server; the following year, completion of the diagnostic and cognitive remediation application
2015 Supervision of two Master’s students for three months: migration of our applications to a new technological framework

Main Activities
- My activities within LMC2
- Development of software and computer graphics applications, and support for the transfer and dissemination of research applications
- Maintenance and continuous updating of the laboratory’s Virtual Reality platform
- Management and development of the Virtual Reality platform, including technology monitoring
- Coordination of Virtual Reality development activities within the research team and in the context of ANR-funded projects and collaborations (technical project management, supervision of fixed-term research staff, interns and postdoctoral researchers)
- Management and maintenance of the laboratory’s physiological measurement platform (EEG, ECG, EMG, eye tracking), including technology monitoring
- Training of new PhD students in Virtual Reality methods and technologies
- Supervision and support of PhD students in their use of the laboratory’s experimental platforms
- Design and delivery of training programs on the methods and technologies used in the laboratory
Ongoing Research Projects
- Development of a module for reading and analysing data acquired from the eye trackers integrated into VR headsets
- Development of a multi-user immersion module allowing several participants, using different machines, to share the same 3D environment
- Implementation of an integrated physiological signal recording station combining eye tracking, EDA (electrodermal activity), ECG (heart rate), respiration and EEG (electroencephalography), using BIOPAC, DSI-24 and HTC VIVE PRO EYE systems
- Development of a tool for integrating experimental scenarios developed in the laboratory using Unity
- Investigation of the implementation of an integrated NIRS–EEG solution
- Feasibility study of a Brain–Computer Interface (BCI) using signals associated with cognitive processes, particularly those involved in memory
