Neuropsychology Track

The Neuropsychology track is part of the Clinical Psychology, Psychopathology and Health Psychology degree program. Neuropsychology is the discipline that investigates the links between mental functioning (cognition, behaviour, and emotion) and brain structures. Clinical neuropsychology involves a specific diagnostic assessment approach (identifying and describing deficits, interpreting disorders and their progression), which enables an analysis of the impact of disorders on everyday life and the development of an individualized care plan (referral and rehabilitation, support and assistance, and social and family reintegration). These disorders may result from brain dysfunction or occur as an indirect consequence of other medical conditions. Neuropsychology also contributes to advancing knowledge of the neural bases of behaviour and cognitive architecture. Find out more
